A. Who is a WEN member?

A WEN member is entitled to cast her vote in the elections to the WEN Managing Committee, and/or stand as a candidate for elections to the WEN Managing Committee by means of self -nomination. A WEN member is one who fulfills the criteria set out here below.

A WEN Member should

• Be an Indian resident, female and above 18 years of age.
• Be an entrepreneur and state her ownership or investment interests in any type of commercial Businesses or NGO/Trust/Association etc and state her official position/status in the concerned establishment / business;
• Possess a minimum of at least 1 (one) year experience as either the owner of a business i.e. Proprietor / /Partner of a Firm or LLP / Director of a company / NGO or Trust etc;
• Be of good character and not have any criminal antecedents or ongoing criminal proceedings against her in any court of law , or face any insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings;
• Documents to be submitted;
• If a Proprietor , then evidence of the establishment and nature of activity with copies of the necessary licenses.
• If a Partner, then furnish a Copy of Partnership Deed showing the member as a partner.
• If a Company, then furnish a copy of the Certificate of Incorporation of company and a memorandum that clearly reveals the relationship with the applicant.
• If a Trust / NGO/ Society then registration particulars of the establishment , nature of activity and a clear relationship to the applicant.
• Copy of Pan Card, GST registrations etc as applicable.
• Shall have visiting card, facebook page or instagram page
• The application shall be recommended by a WEN member and seconded by another WEN member.
• Only a WEN member is eligible to vote at the WEN committee elections

B. Who is a WEN Associate?

Any person who fulfils the criteria set out below is qualified to be a WEN Associate. However the WEN Associate shall not be eligible to stand for elections to the WEN Managing Committee, and shall not have voting rights.

A WEN Associate is

• An Indian resident, female and above 18 years of age.
• Either an entrepreneur or aspires to become an entrepreneur or be desirous of commencing a business soon,
• Have a PAN card,
• Shall have visiting card, facebook page or instagram page
• Shall have all the rights and responsibilities of a WEN MEMBER save for the limitations noted above (that is neither have voting rights, nor be eligible to stand for elections to the WEN Managing Committee)
